Building Relationships

Wishing you all the best in 2007

The North Bay Business Journal recently hosted their awards dinner for the Best Projects in the North Bay 2006. Midstate Construction was the proud recepient in two of the categories - Best Retail and Best Mixed Use.

Best Retail Project: Strawberry Village

Safeway #2718, Mill Valley
Midstate Construction recently completed a new 44,685 square foot Safeway and the necessary site work within Strawberry Village, Mill Valley. Midstate's scope of work included demolition of the existing 32,000 square foot Safeway and construction of the new store. Located in Mill Valley, fifteen minutes north of San Francisco, the entire project caters toward the high end market it serves. The store's interior features the Safeway lifestyle package and the exterior facade matches the newly renovated Strawberry Village. As the largest retail tenant in the retail center, the exterior is broken into varying heights and extrusions, to simulate a smaller footprint and balance the other half of the center which is comprised of smaller shops. Midstate and Safeway worked together as a team to ensure a grand opening seven months after demolition of the original store, a new record for Safeway. Marking a continued successful 53 year relationship between Midstate and Safeway.
